Our Verdict
Avoiding unnecessary bulk, while still warming the core, I’m a big fan of a vest for outdoor activity’s. Really good to put on once you have stopped so that you don’t lose all your body heat, and just as good if you are active in cool weather, This Xenair Vest, provides a good deal of windproofness thanks to the Pertex outer, and brilliant insulation thanks to the Primaloft, a single sheet of insulation so it won’t lose its shape, and has no cold spots.
The semi-elasticated armholes provide a comfortable yet unintrusive fit, which doesn’t allow the wind in. The hem can be cinched in to hold the heat in, and keep the wind out. 3 zipped pockets provide ample, safe storage, the left-hand chest pocket also doubles as a stuff sack, which packs down incredibly small, and can be stashed, then forgotten about till the need arises.
