Our Verdict
This is a solid jacket investment; this hard-wearing all-rounder will get years of use. The Namche is ideal for various outdoor activities. Constructed from a robust 75 denier Gore-Tex three-layer waterproof technology, you can be confident this jacket will keep you dry in terrible conditions. The Namche boasts a Hydrostatic Head value of 28000, and thanks to the jacket's “pit-zips”, it breathes incredibly well.
The Namche has an impressive hood with two adjustment points around the face and one adjustment point around the crown. Two large hand pockets provide ample storage and also aid in ventilation. The jacket can be cinched in around the hem and the cuffs.
It's not the jacket I would be packing for multi-day hikes, but this is an excellent outer shell for almost every outdoor pursuit. It will last you for years.
