Our Verdict
The Rab Women’s Hyperion 65 is purpose-built with narrower dimensions, making it an excellent fit for women or those with smaller frames. It shines on multi-day routes where carrying a bit more is non-negotiable. At 2389g, it’s not aiming to be ultralight, but Rab has prioritised durability and comfort over shaving grams—and it pays off.
The V-TRAX carry system is refreshingly simple and easy to dial in. A Velcro-based adjustment lets you slide the harness to suit your torso length, and once set, it stays firmly in place. The back panel is breathable enough for long, sweaty climbs, and the padding hits that sweet spot—supportive without being overbuilt.
Storage is well thought out. Dual access—top and lower zipped entry—with an internal divider makes packing and unpacking easy. The hipbelt pockets are practical (roomy enough for snacks or a phone), and the side pockets easily fit 1L bottles. The front pocket is more secure than a typical mesh pouch, though not as quick to access—a fair trade for added protection, and a good metaphor for this pack overall.
Internal compression straps help stabilise the load, and there's a rain cover tucked underneath for when the weather doesn’t cooperate.
The bottom line is that Women’s Hyperion 65 is built to carry weight without complaint. It doesn’t rattle or sag when fully loaded, and it’s a pack I’d trust for remote treks where comfort, fit, and reliability matter more than bells and whistles.
