Our Wechsel Groundsheets gives your tent extra protection from wet grounds, thorns, sharp rocks and moisture. They cover the entire base of your tent. They are attached to the tent with elastic loops. For a very light weather protection, the fly sheet can be set up by using the Groundsheet. The Groundsheet is made of a robust 75D polyester with a PU coating on the inside (7000mm water column).
Our Verdict
Modern tents are designed to be used quite successfully without a footprint; however, Using a footprint makes your tent floor last a lot longer than not using one, so if you wish to actively extend the life of your tent and don't mind the extra weight we recommend using them, especially if you are unsure of the terrain you may be encountering.
