Our Verdict
The Silva Strive 5 Vest is a feature-packed hydration running vest for training runs, longer-distance trails, and races. Its 5L total capacity, spread across multiple pockets and compartments, allows you to comfortably carry all your essentials.
One of the highlights is the vest's versatility—it has attachment points for trekking poles or Silva's Quiver pole carrier system, so you can quickly stash or deploy your poles. The vest also has designated pockets for soft flasks, energy gels, your phone, and a rear battery pocket with cable routing for a headlamp.
Constructed from breathable ripstop nylon and 3D mesh, the Strive 5 provides excellent ventilation to prevent overheating. The adjustable sternum straps and four sizing options from XS-L ensure you can dial in the perfect fit.
Other features include reflective low-light details, an integrated safety whistle, and straps to secure hydration hose routing. The large rear compartment fits most reservoirs up to 3L.
