Our Verdict
This rain hat quickly earned a place in my kit for damp hill days. Weighing just over 50 grams, it feels barely there but still delivers full coverage, thanks to a wide, structured brim that holds firm in blustery conditions. As someone who wears glasses, I appreciate how the brim keeps rain off my lenses without needing a hood—especially during light showers where a jacket would be overkill.
The waterproof fabric has easily handled steady drizzle and sharp downpours, and the fully taped seams have kept the interior bone dry. Despite the protection, it’s breathable enough to wear while on the move without stewing inside. The adjustable chin cord and rear cinch give it a secure, dialled-in fit, and it packs down to the size of a buff, making it a no-brainer to carry.
