Our Verdict
The Nordisk Stoke 2.0 Ultralight Down Jacket offers an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio for those keen to shave off every unnecessary gram from their pack. Weighing in at a mere 172 grams for the medium provides ample insulation without the bulk. The Crystal Down ( high-quality European goose down) filling delivers impressive warmth considering its lightweight design, and the jacket packs easily into its own front pocket, saving space in your pack.
However, the jacket's minimalist approach does have a few trade-offs. Although constructed from a durable rip-stop, the fabric may not feel as robust as some heavier alternatives. Its elasticated hem and cuffs do an excellent job at sealing in warmth, but there's no adjustable drawcord for a tighter fit, which could lead to some drafty moments in high winds.
