Spirit Lite Gore-Tex Pants use Paclite Plus fabric, making them lightweight, breathable, and packable waterproof over trousers.
Montane says:
The Spirit Lite Pants are designed for mountain walking and long-distance trekking alike. Made using a waterproof GORE-TEX Paclite® Plus shell fabric and fully taped seams, these pants offer total protection from the elements in a lightweight and packable package. An elasticated waist with adjustable drawcord and a regular fit combine to make these pants an essential item for any mountain activity where packability is paramount.
Our Verdict
Made from a durable, highly waterproof and much more breathable 40D Paclite Plus fabric. Paclite is lightweight and low bulk, so it packs down small; the 'Plus' version of the fabric is much more breathable and, therefore, more comfortable when wearing for extended periods. The Paclite and the ¾ length, two-way zips give you breathable, waterproof that can quickly ventilate heat.
The waist is slightly elasticated to provide a snug fit to prevent water ingress. The quarter-length, water-resistant zips make it quick to change in and out of the trousers, regardless of whether you use boots or trail runners.
