Our Verdict
Side sleeping in a regular bag can be uncomfortable for some; they can be hard to toss and turn in, get wrapped up in the bag, and sometimes it can make the bag cooler as you blow condensation into the side of the bag as you sleep.
This sleeping bag has a unique “cocoon” style relaxed fit that keeps the insolation where you need it, close to the body; the ergonomic design stops cold air from entering the bag when you sleep on your side. Extra Insulation has been added to the feet and hips to help alleviate pressure points.
The bag opens up, like a quilt you drape around yourself, with two hand-warming pockets in either corner so that you can wrap the top of the bag around yourself, so whether you sleep on your left or your right or toss and turn and do a little of both, you have full coverage of down swaddling you. Another advantage of this is that your pillow will stay in place!
The women’s specific bag differs in size, shape and fill weight; areas, where more insulation is needed have been overstuffed to create fewer cold spots.
