Our Verdict
The Splitpack Large 55L Travel Bag is made from G-1000 Heavy Duty Eco which is Fjällräven's own hardwearing and versatile fabric with a water resistant finish. It's classed as the extra hardwearing version of the Original G-1000 meaning it's even more resistant to wear so it will stand up to years of use. Great if your a travel fanatic.
The overall design of the bag is impressive. It's basically a very durable duffle bag that can fully zip open like a suitcase for easier access and packing. Inside there's two large separate compartments, one with a separate mesh divider on the top and the other with two smaller mesh pockets on the inside. On the outside of the pack there's two large zippered pockets on the sides for quick grabbing essentials such as passports, documents, etc. It's safe to say this pack is not lacking in the storage department.
Padding against the back and at the ends of the bag provides carrying comfort and helps it to keep it's shape, while the four tough webbing handles at the top and bottom allows for easy hauling. The rucksack straps are also padded with ventilated mesh fabric for extra comfort when fully loaded. As with all Fjällräven products, you can see that a lot of attention has gone into every detail on this pack. This travel bag is built to last.
