The compact style of the Sport-Packer make it versatile and easy to use. The drawcords and simple clips mean access is quick and easy while the bike mounts provide the perfect way to get the packs on and off the handlebars. The pack has the usual waterproof and durable construction expected from Ortlieb.

Our Verdict
Ortlieb's Sport-Packer Plus 30L Panniers have a different look to the traditional Ortlieb panniers with the use of Cordura fabric. This looks great and also shaves off a decent amount of the weight compared to the Sport-Packer Classic (also 30L). This is not without compromise with cost and durability suffering slightly. The mount is easy to use but still strong and the clever design in the handle allows you to use them single handed.
The bag itself has two external clips to keep the lid closed along with two separate drawcords to keep thing in and also act as a dust cover. There is also a large zipped mesh pocket inside for organising your things. The Sport-Packer is designed to be versatile, working as a front or rear pannier or on a child's bike. They are still a good size and not over the top for shorter use like commuting where they have been easier to use than traditional large panniers.
