Made of lightweight and durable 70D Nylon with fully taped seams it will keep you dry in a good torrential downpour. When not in use as a poncho, it can double-duty as a tarp shelter. It comes neatly packaged in a stuff sack for easy packing.
Our Verdict
Sea to Summit's 70D Tarp Poncho is a weight-saving piece of kit that allows you to leave your waterproof jacket at home by wearing your night-time shelter if it starts to rain. The 70 denier fabric is very durable and will last years of trekking even with a heavy rucksack.
There's room under the poncho to use it as a rucksack cover as well, so there's another weight saving right there.
