Built for technical terrain and quick movement, the Ribelle Run 2 delivers confident grip and rock-solid support in a lightweight, race-ready package.
Scarpa says:
The most winning shoe in the collection undergoes a refresh. RIBELLE RUN 2 is the top pick for who seeks unrivaled precision, stability, and control on the most rugged and rocky terrains. Its iconic rand 3S FRAME completely wraps around the shoe structure, ensuring unparalleled support and protection, particularly in unbalanced situations. The perfect choice for Skyrunning and short to medium-distance trails.
Our Verdict
Scarpa’s latest update to the Ribelle Run range feels sharper and more precise underfoot, especially on uneven and unpredictable ground. At 324g per shoe (UK 8), it’s not the lightest in class, but the trade-off is standout stability and protection. The 6mm lugs bite well into muddy slopes and gritstone edges, and I’ve found the revised upper noticeably more breathable than the previous version without sacrificing durability.
The full wrap-around rand deserves special mention — not only does it shield your toes from rough hits, it locks in the lower foot and adds a touch of lateral structure that’s particularly reassuring on fast, technical descents. The fit is snug and glove-like, ideal for those who prefer precision over room to roam. That said, the ride is on the stiffer side, which works well for control but might not appeal if you’re after a cushy, all-day cruiser.
