A hard-working Gore-Tex jacket, that boasts some impressive stats.

Our Verdict
This , highly packable and very lightweight jacket boasts some impressive stats with a hydrostatic head of 30,000 and an MVTR (Moisture Vapour Transmission Rate) of 43,000, you can read more about both of these in our help and advice section below, but essentially, what these figures mean is, that the jacket is incredibly waterproof, but also highly breathable.
The jacket has an active fit, that doesn’t run too long meaning it’s good to wear with a harness if the need arises. The hem of the jacket is cinched with a drawcord and the cuffs are adjusted with Velcro. The hood too is adjusted with a drawcord, whilst the back toggle is adjusted with Velcro, which is much easier to adjust with the jacket on. The pockets are quite high, again for use with a harness
I think long-distance hikers are going to fall in love with this jacket, it’s so light and easy to stuff into a rucksack, but, if the rain does come and you are forced to wear this jacket for a long period, it’s going to keep you dry, and allows you to ventilate heat well.
