The Swift Lite Tech Cap is a lightweight and breathable technical hat built for high-energy outdoor activities like trail running, backpacking, or long days exploring the alpine.
Made from an ultra-breathable, bluesign® approved polyester blend, this cap is quick-drying and moisture-wicking; perfect for those high-tempo trail activities. The ultralight fabric is treated with DWR for added water resistance, while built-in UPF 30 creates a barrier against the sun's UV rays. The quick-release buckle on the back of the hat is adjustable for a custom fit, the side panel perforations increase breathability and ventilation, and just the right amount of stretch provides a comfortable all-day fit.

Our Verdict
The updated 2025 Swift Lite Tech Cap feels like it was designed with mountain movement in mind. At just 48 grams, the Swift Lite Tech Cap is almost unnoticeable on the head, yet it manages to strike that elusive balance between featherlight minimalism and practical function. The side perforations keep air flowing on sweaty climbs, and the fabric dries out impressively fast after a good soaking—either from sweat or a surprise shower.
I appreciated the subtle stretch in the fabric, which gives a secure yet comfortable fit without ever feeling restrictive, and the low-profile buckle makes for quick adjustments mid-move. While I wouldn’t count on it for prolonged rain exposure despite the DWR finish, it shrugged off drizzle without fuss.
It packs down small enough to stuff in a running vest or jacket pocket, and unlike many ultralight caps, it doesn’t look overly “technical” when you stop in town for a coffee post-hike—a solid evolution from the already well-regarded Swift series.
