Our Verdict
This lantern's size and weight make it better suited to my style of lightweight fast hiking compared to some other models in the range; it's not as powerful, but it's powerful enough for around camp. I love the magnetic charging attachment, as there is nothing worse than assuming your electronics are charging only to find you have rolled over in the night and dislodged the cable.
The ML4 comes with a rechargeable Li-ion battery but will also work with standard AA batteries, giving you some flexibility. One of my standout features is the “glow in the dark” buttons, which make the ML4 easy to operate in a dark tent.
