Our Verdict
Mountain Equipment's Saltoro Gore-Tex Pant are a durable and packable waterproof over trouser with the Gore-Tex seal of quality. The subtle hybrid construction uses 3 layer 75 Denier reinforcements in areas of greater wear with lightweight 2.5 layer Paclite elsewhere.
The 2 way zips are virtually full length making it easy to gets the pants on and off over boots. The 2 way feature is great for venting for when you are working hard. A simple velcro adjustment on the ankles enables you to cinch in the trousers as required. The waistband is elasticated with single drawcord to tighten if necessary to prevent the pants riding up or down.
