The Incline VR Pant is designed to take you into the hills for long spells in complete comfort. With integrated Vapour-Rise™ technology for warmth and dryness, it’s the ideal midweight softshell pant for everything from mountain hiking and cold weather trekking to camping and hut-to-hut.
Our Incline VR Pant is a fast-drying, year-round midweight softshell pant. The shell is made from double-weave Matrix™ fabric, a wind-resistant and highly breathable polyamide/elastane mix with outstanding movement for active hill sports. It also uses a brushed polyester VR Warm lining for fast-wicking comfort on the move and reliable warmth when resting. To make active mountain sport as simple as possible, there are four secure external pockets, a double-ended YKK® fly zip and a reinforced ankle. To optimise the movement-friendly flexibility of the Matrix™ fabric, the VR Trek Pant also comes with articulated knees and a drawcord-adjustable hem.
With its capacity to regulate temperature, manage moisture and protect against the elements, our Incline VR Pant is the practical solution for arduous treks and hiking in the mountains.
Our Verdict
Rab's VR Incline Pants combine classic softshell material with the performance of VR active insulation. Utilising Matrix softshell fabric, these pants do a great job of blocking the wind when out and about and a DWR will also help keep a little rain off before having to don your shell trousers. Another advantage of Matrix is the mechanical stretch, allowing for better manoeuvrability and overall comfort.
The use of VR Warm to line these pants provides a decent amount of warmth with the technical ability to quickly and effectively wick moisture and help regulate temperature to an impressive level. No matter how hard you're going these pants will perform brilliantly to keep you comfortable.
The incline pants have a fairly stripped back design to keep weight down an focus on providing warmth. There are still some practical features which include three decent sized pocket provide plenty of storage options, belt loops help you get the best fit and an elasticated cinch drawcord at the cuff.
