Our Verdict
The main body of these trousers is an incredibly light 4-way stretch, material, very comfortable, and very adaptable on the trail, offering brilliant freedom of movement. So they excel at scrambles, rock climbing and hiking, fantastic all-rounders. The rear, down to just above the knee, is made of a more robust fabric giving a little reinforcement. Both of the main materials used, are recycled Polyamide, an extremely hard wearing, light fabric.
I used these trousers on a multiday backpacking trip . I was amazed at how clean they stayed, they shed dirt incredibly well thanks to the Fluorocarbon-free DWR treatment.. I’m a little disappointed with the pockets, they aren’t very generous, I couldn’t even comfortably get my phone in the front pockets, something to bear in mind. The adjustable hem is nice to have especially in tick country. The elasticated waist ensures a good fit, that still has a little give, and so never feel constrictive.
