A hard wearing warm midlayer with all the quality you'd expect from Fjallraven.
Fjällräven says:
Large knitted fleece with comfort fit. Can be worn as a warm intermediate layer when out skiing or for relaxing in the cabin. G-1000® reinforcements on the shoulders offer extra durability and are practical when carrying a backpack. Zipper in the front, one breast pocket, two side pockets. Have details of animal origin.
Our Verdict
Fjällräven's Buck Fleece is a warm practical midlayer that works well in technical environments and looks just as good around town or around the campfire.
The adjustable hem around the waist is a great feature to help keep out cold wind and provide a more form fitting look. The chest pocket is spacious enough to fit most GPS and mobile phones which makes this a practical midlayer.
The reinforced shoulders provide a great barrier to abrasion from backpack shoulder straps if you are wearing this fleece as your outer layer. The collar is very comfortable next to skin and the chin guard stops any rubbing associated with the zip when done up.
