The Patagonia M10 Storm Jacket is a lightweight alpine shell designed for those prioritising speed, efficiency, and reliable mountain protection.
Weighing just 307g (size M), this 3-layer shell uses an H2No Performance Standard construction with a 30-denier ECONYL recycled nylon face and a 7-denier knit backer. It offers excellent durability while remaining highly packable. The PFC-free DWR finish enhances water resistance without relying on harmful chemicals, aligning with Patagonia's environmental ethos. Key features include an alpine helmet-compatible hood with precise adjustment, offset chest pockets for accessibility while wearing a harness, and low-profile cuffs that grip gloves securely.
The M10 Storm performs admirably in wet and snowy conditions, keeping you dry during heavy rain. Its minimalist design makes it a practical choice for fast-and-light climbs and hikes, though the lack of pit zips may not suit those prone to overheating during intense activity. Self-stowing into its chest pocket, it’s also easy to carry when not in use.
