Our Verdict
Stylish, warm, and sustainably crafted, the Patagonia Jackson Glacier Down Jacket is ideal for winter wear that balances technical performance with urban aesthetics.
Weighing just over a kilogram (medium size), this jacket combines a 100% recycled polyester shell with 700-fill-power recycled down, offering excellent insulation for cold conditions. The two-layer shell features a durable water repellent finish, which effectively sheds light rain and snow, while the sleek baffle design eliminates cold spots and ensures consistent warmth.
Practical features include handwarmer pockets lined with soft tricot for added comfort and an insulated hood with discreet drawcords. The internal storm cuffs are a welcome touch, keeping the chill out without sacrificing mobility. I found the cut roomy enough to layer underneath, yet still tailored enough for casual wear.

- The two-way, center-front zipper has a zipper garage at the chin for comfort
- Insulated hood with hidden drawcords that cinch down for protective warmth; internal storm cuffs lock out the cold
- On-seam handwarmer pockets have a soft, brushed jersey lining; an internal zippered pocket secures your phone and other necessities
