It boasts a fully enclosed toe with a sturdy toe guard that shields the feet from rocks and roots, while its open back ensures breathability and ventilation, making it ideal for use in warm weather. This innovative design sets the Hopara 2 apart; it's at home on the trail, beach, and water.
The Hopara 2 is fastened with laces but also incorporates a Velcro fastening around the heel for added security. The mesh upper fits snugly like a sock, providing a comfortable and flexible fit.
While it's not a recovery shoe and weighs more than other trail shoes, including some from Hoka, the Hopara 2 is a great option for a holiday shoe, especially for warm weather destinations. Its versatility makes it suitable for various activities, from relaxing on the beach to exploring shorter trails in warmer climates.
