A solo pot that doubles as a bowl and packs down small — ideal for weight-conscious hikers with an eye for detail.
Sea to Summit says:
The Frontier Collapsible Solo Pot forms the basis for the perfect, packable ultralight cook-and-eat system. The pot is perfectly shaped and dimensioned to work as a bowl – it collapses to a fraction of its in-use height for compact packing.
Our Verdict
The Sea to Summit Frontier UL Collapsible Pot (1L) is a well-executed bit of kit for solo cooking on the trail. The food-grade silicone sidewalls collapse flat for easy packing, while the hard-anodised aluminium base delivers fast, even heating — especially helpful when conserving fuel. It’s shaped with a wide opening, making it easy to eat directly from and clean out afterwards. The shorter Click-Safe handle feels secure in the hand and locks over the pot for storage. It nests well with other Sea to Summit pieces, forming part of a tidy, modular kitchen system. I’ve used it for everything from coffee to quick-cooked couscous, and it’s held up well.
