As with the rest of the Bergtagen range you are getting a piece of kit designed to perform in the worst conditions. This merino neck gaiter keeps you warm, keep the cold out and retains heat when moisture is involved too.
Fjällräven says:
You won’t have to spend much time above the treeline to appreciate the extra warmth this neck gaiter will give you. It efficiently stops icy winds from finding their way in and can be pulled up to protect your face. Made from a soft, pliant Merino wool jersey knit, it has all the great properties of wool – it insulates when damp and is moisture wicking and odour resistant. The Merino wool used in Bergtagen base-layers is mulesing-free and traceable back to its farm of origin.
Our Verdict
Fjällräven's Bergtagen Neck Gaiter is a nice piece of kit that allows you to keep draughts out and stay warm. The 100% merino design is excellent for mountainous activities where changeable weather is expected. The merino excels in delivering top performance, regulating temperature while maintaining warmth across a range of conditions, especially when wet. The soft, comfortable feel of the merino makes it ideal for wearing for extended periods and it is pretty versatile as it can easily be folded and used as a makeshift headband too.
The simple, low key design is stylish, practical and versatile enough for a range of activities.
