Our Verdict
The Anti-Freeze Mitt are a very warm instant boost of warmth for your hands. They are designed to be used ‘for an emergency boost of warmth over a liner or fleece gloves.’ they are filled with 750 fill power fluorocarbon-free HyperDRY™ down, which makes them incredibly warm, but they will also shed water well, though, down poor conditions, a waterproof outer shell should be used.
The mits can be cinched around the wrist, and a thin internal stretch gaiter helps lock in heat and keep snow out of the glove. The palms are reinforced with synthetic leather that feels very durable.
They pack down very small and come with an included stuff sack, so they are perfect for stashing in your pack, even if you don't think you will need them and an emergency insulation layer.
