Our Verdict
Fjällräven's Byron Hat is a thick, comfortable hat designed for cold weather. With a warm, durable feel and smart looks this hat does the job during winter months. Nothing too technical, but perfect for cold days in the hills, for heading to the pub or just everyday use.
The merino provides a surprising amount of warmth to weight, works just as well at keeping you warm when wet and has all the usual benefits of merino you would expect. The material is a thicker and heavier than the other wool beanies but it does add extra warmth to go with it.
