Mountain Equipment's Couloir Gore-Tex Gloves has all the warmth, water resistance and features you need for epic winter adventures.
Mountain Equipment says
A fully waterproof, hardwearing glove for mountaineers and skiers.
With a GORE-TEX insert the Couloir is durably waterproof for long days of mountaineering or skiing in harsh conditions. A water resistant Goatskin leather palm is tough enough for regular rope work and more serious skiing as well as providing excellent grip on an axe or rope.
Our Verdict
Mountain Equipment's Couloir Gore-Tex Gloves are a well featured full on winter gauntlet style glove. Completely waterproof thanks to the Gore-Tex insert. The fluffy fleece lining provides a lot of warmth.
Large tabs on the wrist drawcords make cinching the gloves easy. Wrist loops are a great feature enabling you to quickly remove a glove to perform a fiddly task without having to worry about dropping them. The goatskin leather on the palm gives the gloves durability where the wear is greatest.
A suede panel around the thumb gives you a soft area to wipe your nose. Hanging loops on the fingers allow the gloves to clipped to your harness when not in use and keep any falling water out. These are also useful for hanging up in crowded drying rooms.
