The Rush Trial is the low cut version of the already popular Rush Trail, that offers a very comfortable and high performing walking shoe with the high build quality you would expect from Scarpa.

RUSHTRAIL GTX combines durability, comfort, structure and stability with the versatility and dynamism of the RUSH platform. This new model is the Low Cut version of RUSH TRK. It is a shoe made in the name of comfort with technologies able to help reduce foot fatigue during the hiking, a combination between agility and protection.

Our Verdict
The Rush Trail Low is Scarpa's most modern walking shoe that is designed to offer a very high level of comfort that you would expect from the Rush family, but also Scarpa's renowned technical performance.
The upper is a brushed suede upper that offers a not only a nice look to the shoe but also a decent level of water resistance. As with most of Scarpa's range there is also a Gore-Tex liner to makes sure that your feet are guaranteed to be waterproof even in the worst conditions.
The sole unit is a Presa Sole, which has been developed by Scarpa to offer a high level of grip on uneven and difficult terrain, while trying to prevent foot fatigue by having a very cushioned and comfortable midsole that is akin to that of a high performance running shoe.
Fit wise the toe box has a good volume to it so it is a middle of the road fit so should be suitable for a range of foot widths. The heel is a good close fit so offers a lot of support, so there is unlikely to be a lot of foot movement and would be good for those of us with a narrower heel shape.
While this is a move away from Scarpa's more traditional style of walking shoe, it seems to be a further step forwards into new levels of comfort and performance.
