Our Verdict
Theses boots offer superb support and protection whilst still giving the adaptability of an approach shoe, these are a fantastic boot for day hikes but excel as a climbing boot for more technical scrambles or more dedicated rope climbing. These Gortex boots offer superb protection from the worst of the British weather, but if you are looking for a lighter shoe, scarper offer a version without the Gortex lining. A strong, solid Vibram sole definitely give you confidence over a wide variety of terrains in all weather condition apart from maybe deep snow, and the rubber toe cap seriously offers protection as well as some grip. Good support in the heel and toe box keep you mobile longer and the extended lacing system, unique to Scarpa mean you will get a fit that is tailored too you. Scarpa are industry leaders in footwear, and these shoes are a testament to that. .
