MSR's Dragonfly has the adaptability of being multifuel but also has the advantage of having simmer control or flame thrower performance and legendary field test heritage over many years.
MSR says
The Dragonfly stove takes precision-simmering performance and puts it in a chassis that’s built to handle a variety of fuels and the frequent use dished-out by global vagabonds. Tough and stable, it also excels in institutional and guide service settings, easily handling pots up to 10” in diameter. Its dual-valve design delivers the flame control you need for simmering sauces, and goes from zero to searing at the twist of a knob for melting snow and brewing-up fast.

Our Verdict
MSR's Dragonfly Multi-Fuel Stove is a legendary stove. It has built a reputation on solid performance under a range of conditions. It is an ideal stove for expeditions because it's got the adaptability of being multifuel but also has the advantage of having simmer control or flame thrower performance. This level of flame control is particularly important for anyone who enjoys cooking rather than simply boiling water for dried meals.
The tough, durable design provides a wide, supportive base for a range of pan sizes up to 10" so no matter what you're aiming to cook, it's likely this stove will be able to handle it. The foldaway design is great for packing away when you're constantly on the move and the reliable nature means you can trust is to work whether you're heading into the jungle, up into the arctic or simply for your next campsite.
The whole package provides you with a fuel pump, windscreen, heat reflector, small-parts kit, instructions, and stuff sack so you are pretty much good to go. An additional piece of kit we'd advise to finish this off is an MSR fuel bottle for places where liquid fuels will be fairly accessible and other fuel sources may not be.
