Our Verdict
The Sea to Summit Detour Collapsible Pouring Pot (1.8L) is a well-considered bit of kit if you like to cook properly outdoors — not just boil water for freeze-dried meals. The stainless steel base heats evenly and works on both induction hobs and gas, while the silicone sidewalls collapse neatly to save space when packing. It feels solid in use, and the Click-Safe handles give a confident grip when lifting or pouring, then snap over the lid to keep everything secure in transit.
One detail I appreciated was the integrated Lid Keep — a notch that lets you rest the lid against the side of the pot, keeping it off the ground and out of the way while cooking. It’s a simple but useful feature, especially when working with limited space.
