Our Verdict
The Chair One now comes in three different sizes, standard, L & XL. Helinox's Chair One XL is the daddy of comfort in the Chair One range. For starters the seat is much higher off the ground compared to the other available sizes, this is similar to what you would find on conventional camping chairs. What sets the Helinox chairs apart from your average camping chair is the superior quality of the components and the design.
The poles conveniently assemble themselves, they're also DAC poles, DAC are the world leaders in creating durable metaltubing and have provided the poles for the best trekking pole and tent manufacturers for decades.
Go for the XL if comfort is your utmost concern. The pack size is still very good for a chair of this size, but it is significantly bigger than the Chair One L and standard .
