Expedition Foods says
Beef and Potato Hotpot.
Preparation: REMOVE THE OXYGEN ABSORBER* (sachet) from inside the pouch. Slowly add up to 350ml hot water, stirring as you pour and then close the bag. Wait 5-8 minutes for the food to rehydrate.
*The oxygen absorber helps maintain product freshness and is non toxic.
Cold water will suffice in an emergency, however the re-hydration time is much longer.
Expedition Foods meals have a long shelf life of up to 5 years.

STAFF'S TASTE TEST - The beef and potato hotpot went down well with our staff, though some people felt it lacked a 'meaty' taste, but had a nice enough flavour to it. The potatoes were quite sweet, so a bit of seasoning wouldn't have gone a miss. But over all it had a good consistency and flavour. Would be nice at the end of a long walk. |
