The Aotrom Thermo Platinum Sleeping Mat is a mat that can be used in all seasons it has an R-value of 4.1. The mat keeps weight and pack size minimum without sacrificing comfort and usability.

Our Verdict
The Aotrom Thermo Platinum is constructed from air-filled channels that are welded together to form a solid surface that moulds to the contours of your body and the surface you are sleeping on. This provides a comfortable sleep by reducing pressure points and providing support in the right places, though if you sleep on your side, this may not be the mat for you.
This mat inflates rapidly, by far one of the quickest I have seen. Unfortunately, the mat does not come with a pumpsack, but if you have a spare Nemo sack, that will work, as will the Flextail.
It only has one valve, which I'm not a massive fan of. To deflate the valve, you have to insert the cap at an angle so the valve remains open, but as you squeeze out the air, the pressure causes the valve to shut, so you have to readjust it a few times, not a deal breaker, but worth noting. The valve is flush to the mat and simplistic, yes, but that means there is less to go wrong.
