Our Verdict
At just 49g, the updated Ultimate Direction Quiver is a tidy solution for keeping poles out of your hands but close at hand. Great for fast-paced days when you’re switching frequently between poles out and stowed. The firm upper rim holds its shape well, making it quick to slide poles in without slowing down. It attaches cleanly to UD’s running vests—especially the Xodus and Ultra models—with a stable, bounce-free fit, whether you wear it vertically or at an angle. I found it best with fixed or Z-style poles. The internal sleeve keeps things from rattling, and the exterior is tough enough for repeated use without fraying or sagging.
