Our Verdict
At 1,097g (medium), the Terravia 36L sits in that versatile space between a daypack and a stripped-back overnighter. It’s framed with a light internal structure that supports the load without feeling rigid, and the hip belt does a decent job of sharing the weight, especially appreciated on hillier days. The back panel and shoulder straps are made from recycled airmesh that stays cool and dries quickly, even on warm climbs.
The roll-top main compartment expands easily for extra kit and compresses well when you’re carrying less. Storage is well thought out: two hip belt pockets (on the small side but still handy), a quick-access top pocket with a key clip, and a roomy front drop-in pouch that’s ideal for wet jackets or a sit mat. The side pockets are large enough for the biggest water bottles, and there’s a hydration sleeve if that’s your preferred system. The included rain cover, tucked into its own discreet pocket, rounds things off nicely for unpredictable weather.
With its tough, recycled fabric, minimalist design, and comfortable fit, the Terravia 36l makes a solid companion for those who move quickly and travel light, yet still want a few thoughtful features along the way.
