Our Verdict
The Hoka 2024 Trail Code GTX delivers a superb blend of cushioning and lightweight design, making it an excellent choice for hikers. With its HUBBLE® heel (reduces impact) and SwallowTail™ ( the extended heel), this shoe provides responsive cushioning, stability and comfort for long treks.
The “heel-pull tab” makes getting these on and off a strait-forward affair, and the new foam midsole enhances shock absorption, while the Vibram® Megagrip outsole with 5mm lugs ensures solid traction on varied terrain.
The Trail Code GTX features a ripstop upper made from 100% recycled textiles and incorporates GORE-TEX for waterproof protection. Its design includes eco-friendly details like recycled polyester laces and a PFC-free water-repellency treatment. The anatomical Achilles construction and quick-lace system add convenience and a secure fit.
